  1. Purpose of the Privacy Policy

    This document (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy”) describes how Gutlinx Sdn. Bhd. whose company incorporated in Malaysia with its principal office at Unit A-12-8, Tower A, Vertical Business Suite, Avenue 3, Bangsar South City, No. 8, Jalan Kerinchi, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (hereinafter the “Company” or “we”), processes the personal data of its clients and prospects, in accordance with Malaysian regulations, in particular the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (known as the “PDPA”).

    In accordance with this article, the term “personal data” (hereinafter “Data”) refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or to one or more elements specific to their physical identity.

    As part of our business, we process the Data of individuals within the meaning of the Act.

    If you have signed a contract with our Company, the provisions of that contract which conflict with this Privacy Policy shall prevail.

    We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. All changes take effect as soon as we publish the revised Privacy Policy. We may provide you with information and updates regarding the Privacy Policy or the personal data we collect by posting them on our website.

    Through hyperlinks, you may access third-party websites or SaaS solutions. The Company is not responsible for the content of these third-party sites or SaaS solutions. We strongly encourage you to consult the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

  2. Information on the processing of your Data

    We act as a Data Processor as defined under the PDPA when processing personal Data.

    To ensure that your Data is collected in accordance with the Act, the Company provides you with the following information:

    Purposes and legal basis for processing. In the context of our relationships with clients and prospects, we carry out Data processing for the following purposes:

    Responding to your questions and information requests submitted via the “Contact us” section

    These processing activities are based on your consent, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, or our legitimate interest in carrying out business development activities.

    Types of Data processed. The Data processed for these purposes include identity and contact information of the individuals concerned (first and last name, gender, email address, phone number, job title, postal address).

    Mandatory form fields. To respond to your request for information, account creation, or appointment, all fields marked with an asterisk or not indicated as optional must be completed, and you must check the consent box authorizing the processing of your Data. Otherwise, we will be unable to respond to your request.

    Data recipients. The Data is intended for the departments within our Company.

    Transfer of Data to a third country. As part of our operations, we may transfer your Data to our partners located in Singapore. By providing us with your Data, you expressly agree to this transfer and acknowledge the risks associated. However, we are committed to ensuring that our subsidiaries provide all necessary security and confidentiality safeguards.

    Data retention period. The retention period of personal Data varies depending on the purpose of the processing. We retain your Data only for as long as necessary and appropriate for the purpose for which it was collected.

    Exercising data subject rights. In accordance with the Act, individuals whose Data we process have the right to:

    2. Access their Data;
    3. Rectify or delete their Data;
    4. Restrict the processing of their Data;
    5. Object to the processing of their Data on legitimate grounds; and
    6. Port their Data.

Failure to provide such information may prevent us from offering you information, commercial offers, or product and service demonstrations.

  3. Cookie Management

    If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.

    When you log in, we will set several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you check “Remember me,” your login will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be removed.

    When you edit or publish content, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

  4. Embedded Content from Other Websites

    Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website directly.

  5. Applicable Law

    This Privacy Policy is governed by Malaysian law.
